The company's core competence lies in customized logistics solutions for multinational corporations and international brands. Currently, KLN Logistics Group is represented in 59 countries globally, including four branches in Germany.
 

We are looking for a Tradelane Manager (Business Development) (m/f/d) to join us at one of our locations in Germany at the earliest possible date.

Your responsibilities:

  • Acquiring new business and expanding/managing existing customer relationships within the international KLN network Developing, implementing, and continuously optimizing trade lane and routing strategies to identify and capitalize on market potential
  • Analyzing market trends, capacities, competitors, tariffs, trade agreements, and customer requirements to unlock new business opportunities and customer solutions
  • Identifying new customers, markets, and industry opportunities in the international logistics sector
  • Cultivating and expanding strategic customer and partner relationships
  • Collaborating closely with international sales, product, and operations teams
  • Supporting global tenders and developing competitive transport and supply chain solutions
  • Optimizing existing and new trade routes across the entire supply chain
  • Monitoring relevant KPIs, margins, and forecasts to manage trade lane performance
  • Assisting with price, contract, and terms negotiations with customers and partners
  • Conducting regular market and competitor analyses to further develop the regional growth strategy

Your profile:

  • Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transport, Business Administration, or comparable commercial training
  • Several years of professional experience in international freight forwarding, ideally in air and sea freight
  • Experience in business development, trade lane management, or international sales
  • Sound knowledge of international transport and logistics processes as well as relevant customs and compliance regulations
  • Proficiency in Incoterms, international trade processes, and global supply chain structures
  • Experience working with international customers, partners, and networks Fluent German and English skills (written and spoken) at a negotiation level
  • Additional foreign language skills are an advantage
  • Proficiency in MS Office; CRM experience is ideal
