For our branch in Cologne, we are looking for a Operations Specialist Seafreight Import/Export (m/f/d) to start as soon as possible.
Your responsibilities:
- Organization and coordination of pre-carriage, main carriage, and on-carriage transportation
- Receipt and entry of customer orders into the company's in-house operating system (K-Smart)
- Independent processing of shipments, including customs clearance procedures
- Correspondence with shipping lines, customers, and overseas partners in both German and English
- Handling of claims and preparation of invoices, as well as verification of incoming supplier invoicesReview and posting of incoming documents and invoices
- Preparation and submission of quotations/offers
- Opportunity to support and gain experience in air freight operations, depending on interest and development goals
Your profile:
- Completed vocational training as a Freight Forwarding and Logistics Services Specialist (m/f/d) or comparable professional experience, for example as a Freight Forwarding Clerk (m/f/d) or Commercial Logistics Employee (m/f/d) with relevant logistics experience
- Strong knowledge of ocean freight import and export operations (LCL & FCL)
- Customer-oriented mindset, flexibility, and excellent communication skills
- Independent, structured, and proactive working style, with a strong focus on accuracy and documentation
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Very good written and spoken German and English skills
