We are looking for a full-time Intermodal Automotive Freight Forwarding Agent (m/f/d) for our Bremen location to start as soon as possible.
Your responsibilities:
- Independent handling of import ocean freight shipments (LCL & FCL) for all of Europe.
Execution of customs clearance in various procedures - Organization and coordination of intermodal on-carriage throughout Europe via truck, rail, and inland waterway
- Advising and supporting customers, suppliers, as well as overseas agencies and partners
- Data quality control and completion of shipment-level data in the proprietary system
- Handling of invoicing and verification of incoming invoices, as well as preparation and support for weekly and monthly closings
- Complaint management
- Preparation of quotations for intermodal transport (import) and special transports
- Responsibility for the assigned sub-processes of the overall business operations
- Creation and verification of transport documents
- Compliance with customer- and department-specific KPIs
- Varied side projects offer room for involvement and promote personal and professional development – with perspectives both within and outside the department.
Your profile:
- Completed vocational training as a Forwarding and Logistics Services Clerk or comparable professional experience (e.g., as a Freight Forwarder or Commercial Clerk with a logistics background)
- Professional experience in Ocean Freight and handling key accounts
- Proficient in MS Office
- Business fluent in German and English (written and spoken)
- Customer orientation, flexibility, and strong communication skills
- A strong team player
- Excellent organizational skills and process reliability
- Willingness to think beyond your own area of responsibility and actively contribute to improvements
- Ideally, initial experience in intermodal transport handling
- An independent, structured, and proactive way of working with high proficiency in documentation.
