For our Hamburg branch, we are looking for a Import Ocean Freight Specialist (m/f/d) to start as soon as possible.

Your responsibilities:

  • Independent handling of Ocean Freight Import (FCL & LCL) operations
  • Organization of pre-carriage, main carriage, and on-carriage
  • Order acceptance and entry in the proprietary system (KSMART)
  • Independent processing and customs clearance / handling of customs formalities
  • Correspondence with shipping lines, customers, and overseas partners in German and English
  • Complaint management, invoicing, and verification of incoming invoices
  • Monitoring and booking of incoming documents
  • Preparation of quotations/offers

Your profile:

  • Completed vocational training as a Forwarding and Logistics Services Clerk (m/f/d) or comparable professional experience
  • At least 2 years of professional experience in the field of Ocean Freight Import
  • Very good knowledge of customs clearance
  • Customer orientation, flexibility, and strong communication skills
  • An independent, structured, and proactive way of working with high proficiency in documentation
  • A strong team player
  • Business fluent in German and English (written and spoken)
